Just Seafoam’d the Bug. A TON of white smoke. I mean a lot. It’s a carbed vehicle of course so I took off the oil cooler, put in about a 1/3 and put the rest into the gas tank. Smoked like a mother for awhile and then went clear.
The Bug idled a lot better after it went through. It may be “snake-oil” but I swear it idled smoother. Just my experience.

It helped out my car. Give it a shot. I have read both good and bad reviews but a helluva lot more good than bad.

Its not snake oil, I used to use it on old Vespas and it helps keep my diesel cleaner.

I try to do a seafoaming at every oil change, but even like once a year feels like overkill after that first time when you blow all the crap out. My Crown Vic idled like it had 75k less miles on it after I did it the first time.
Never ran any in the chevelle since I’m pretty sure carbon is all that’s sealing the rings/valves, and the whole thing needs rebuilt anyways. Those engines were not meant to see 100k.

Did it two years ago at my friends house. The whole cul-de-sac went white. Probably worth doing it again. Might do it when I’m back at school so all the hippies will freak out and PS will think there’s a fire on campus. Yah, great idea.

THe one person I saw on here who called it snake oil was told it was water with a bit of mienral oil. The company who makes it said in a form to the government agencies that it is naptha, isopropyl alcohol, and some mineral oil. If you lie on this form then woe shall fall unto you and all you touch. It isn’t water, it is industrial solvents. THe directions have some basis in understanding.
While imperfect, seafoam treatments are not snake oil.

I’ve never done it down the carb, but have put it in the gas tank. I think it does what it says it does on older carb’d cars.
